14.11.2016The modernization and installation of high-technology hardware of Berezniki mechanical works (BMZ) is being vigorously worked on.
This has been made possible through the large-scale complex development program. In 2015 BMZ became a part of the EuroChem holding. Since then new opportunities have arisen for BMZ: high-qualified personnel returns to company, procurement of modern equipment and machines enables to update the production process.
For example, new Italian 4-roll bending machine Roccia Srl. is suitable for bending cylindrical pipes and cones made from metal plates max. thickness 40 mm and max. width 3000mm. Equipment has been successfully tested and significantly increased the company capabilities for the manufacturing of main product line- conveyors, tanks and vessels for the chemical industry.
BMZ also put horizontal Czech milling and boring machine TOS VARNSDORF into operation to process work pieces made of metal and other structural materials up to 25 tones. This machine is unique because of its rotary table and modern CNC Siemens system to treat parts to micron close precision.
In 2016 Russian-made portal thermal-cutting machine ”Termit” was also brought into operation. This machine can treat any metal plate up to 12 000mm length and up to 200mm thickness by plasma and gas-oxygen cutting. 45° angle cutting and simultaneous processing of 2 plates 2000 х 6000mm are also possible.
Currently the heavy duty lathe by GORATU is being assembled in BMZ mechanical workshop. Huge 40-tones machine can process wide range of “shaft-type” parts with length up to 8000mm. Machines operate in two shifts. Technical specialists are trained on regular basis to upgrade their knowledge and qualifications and use new and updated equipment.
